Through Austmine’s delivery of the Global Mining Challenge India (GMCI) program, we invite Australian companies to participate in online pitch opportunities with major Indian mining and industrial organisations.
The first pitch session will explore emerging technologies focused on reducing operational costs for both open pit and underground mining projects.
Potential solutions include, but are not limited to:
- Applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve mining efficiencies.
- Autonomous and semi-remote mining technologies.
- Digital technologies applied to resource assessment, materials handling, ore sorting and efficient extraction techniques.
- Utilisation of sensors and data for maintenance procedures and production efficiencies.
- Advanced technologies supporting mechanisation and mass production for mining operations.
This opportunity is open to any Australian company with a registered Australian Business Number.
Phase 1 - Submission Period
Companies are invited to submit a short-form solution overview by Monday 24 February 2025. A shortlisting process takes place, and successful companies are invited to participate in the pitch session.

Phase 2 - Pitch Session
Shortlisted companies are invited to participate in an online pitch session on Tuesday 18 March 2025. Each company will have a 15-minute time slot exclusively with the panel of Indian mining and industrial organisations to pitch and engage in Q&A.
Phase 3 - Follow up Engagement
Upon request from the panel, METS companies will be introduced to the mining and industrial organisations to continue discussing.
